Study on viscoelastic properties of epoxidized trans-1,4-polyisoprene by rubber process analyzer

Two kinds of epoxidized trans-1,4-polyisoprene (ETPI) were prepared by surface selective epoxidation which products named as SETPI and solution random epoxidation which product named as RETPI, respectively. The viscoelastic behavior of unmodified trans-1,4-polyisoprene (TPI) and ETPI, both RETPI and SETPI, was studied with the use of a rubber process analyzer (RPA). The strain sweep, frequency sweep, temperature sweep and stress sweep indicated that the SETPI could be seen as a blend of the pure ETPI and TPI. The rheological behavior of TPI and ETPI was recorded by two kinds of shear rate. An obvious effect of epoxidation on the movement behavior of the melt of RETPI was observed. However, the effect of epoxy content of SETPI on ln??* is weak. The complex viscosity at various frequencies of SETPI is higher than that of RETPI.     

Depressing defocusing effect in microscopy by bi-orthogonal wavelet transform

For different dimensions, heights and irregular shapes, small and large particles cannot be viewed simultaneously as sharp images under the microscope due to optical defocusing effects. Bi-orthogonal wavelet transform is used in this paper to depress such defocusing effect by merging the wavelet coefficients of the image series. The algorithm is presented in detail, using SWE(13,7) and CDF(2,2), and a few particle images are provided to validate the proposed method.     

Advances in Electrochemical Decarboxylative Transformation Reactions

Owing to their non-toxic, stable, inexpensive properties, carboxylic acids are considered as environmentally benign alternatives as coupling partners in various organic transformations. Electrochemical mediated decarboxylation of carboxylic acid has emerged as a new and efficient methodology for the construction of carbon-carbon or carbon-heteroatom bonds. Compared with transition-metal catalysis and photoredox catalysis, electro-organic decarboxylative transformations are considered as a green and sustainable protocol due to the absence of chemical oxidants and strong bases. Further, it exhibits good tolerance with various functional groups. In this Minireview, we summarize the recent advances and discoveries on the electrochemical decarboxylative transformations on C−C and C−heteroatoms bond formations.     

Simulation of Three-Spin Interaction in Coupled Cavities Chain

We generalize usual second-order effective Hamiltonian approximation into third-order. Employing the generalized method, we propose a scheme to generate three-spin interaction using coupled cavity chain. We show that the third order term not only improves two parties interaction but also induces direct three-spin interaction which has not been simulated before. By controlling the frequency of laser field, one can obtain next nearest neighbor interaction on the same order with the nearest neighbor’s or the three-spin interaction on the same order as next nearest neighbor’s.     

不同尺寸的NdFeB稀土永磁体热退磁行为研究

针对不同类型及不同尺寸的两类NdFeB永磁体分别研究了它们随温度变化的热退磁行为。采用样品的整体剩余磁通来表征热退磁过程中磁体性能的变化。结果表明,Pc较小的永磁体温度稳定性较差,随温度的升高,样品的剩余磁通迅速衰减;Pc<<0.1的普通型永磁体,温度为100℃时样品的剩余磁通损失超过60%。高矫顽力型永磁体比普通型磁体具有更优越的温度稳定性和高温性能。温度升高主要导致磁体矫顽力降低,140℃时普通型磁体的矫顽力降低约80%,而高矫顽力型磁体的矫顽力只降低了约20%。     

Effect of graft polymer prepared by living radical polymerisation on electro-optical properties of polymer dispersed liquid crystal

In this study, a graft polymer matrix prepared by living radical polymerisation had been incorporated into polymer dispersed liquid crystals (PDLCs). The electro-optical properties of the PDLCs were investigated. The results showed that the length and density of graft chain had a great influence on the memory effect of the PDLCs. Low-driving-voltage and weak-memory-effect PDLCs could easily be obtained with a graft polymer matrix.     

Strong ergodicity of the regime-switching diffusion processes

We provide criteria for the strong ergodicity of regime-switching diffusion processes. Our conditions are imposed on the coefficients of the processes. Particularly, we show that for regime-switching diffusions on the half line, if the corresponding diffusion on each fixed environment is strongly ergodic, then the regime-switching diffusion is strongly ergodic as well, which does not depend on the changing rate of the environment. Moreover, the converse is not always true, which is shown by an example. For transience, recurrence and positive recurrence, there is no such good consistency [R. Pinsky and M. Scheutzow, Some remarks and examples concerning the transience and recurrence of random diffusions, Ann. Inst. Henri. Poincaré 28 (1992) 519–536].
